Andrew Silva is a pianist, educator, and music producer known for his Porch Concert Series, a three-year project of free performances created in response to the pandemic. He has performed with artists such as Kendrick Scott, Joe Manis, and Domo Branch, and his work reflects a deep love for music that’s both creative and community-driven.

Originally from Portland, Oregon, Silva honed his craft at the Alan Jones Academy of Music before earning a degree in jazz piano performance from the University of Oregon.

Now based in Detroit, he teaches private piano lessons that focus on creativity, exploration, and building confident musicianship. Students in his studio learn to play a wide variety of styles from popular music to improvisation while developing strong musical foundations and a lifelong love for making music.

In addition to his private teaching, Silva leads the jazz combo program at Bloomfield Hills High School and offers workshops at local middle and high schools, helping students discover the joy of making music together.
